A question set won't publish¶
A question set is published only when a person has looked at everything that needs looking at, and every question has been checked as right for the people the set is for. Until then it stays a draft, and nobody can be asked it.
Open the set from Assessments and look at the line under its name. It says how many questions are to look at.
Questions still to look at¶
If a colleague wrote the set, or read it in from a document, every question starts flagged. Nothing a machine produced is put in front of anyone until a person has checked it.
- Open the set. Flagged questions are marked look at this.
- Check each answer is right. If it is, choose Approve. If it isn't, choose Retire.
- When nothing is left to look at, Publish becomes available.
"Not suitable for this set's audience"¶
When you publish, every question is checked against who the set is for. A question that isn't right for them is flagged with the reason, and the set stays a draft.
These questions can't be approved — the check has said they shouldn't be asked of these people. Choose Retire on each one, then Publish again.
"Could not be checked for its audience just now"¶
The check couldn't run. Nothing has changed and the set is still a draft. Try Publish again in a minute or two.
"The set's last question"¶
A set needs at least one question. If every question in it should go, the set itself should not be published.
A question flagged by an examination¶
If you examined a colleague on a draft, some questions may be flagged as testing general knowledge, or as ones the material didn't answer well. These are findings for you to weigh, not refusals. Approve the question to keep it as it is, or Retire it.
