Nobody can write an assessment

Writing a question set is a colleague's job, and a colleague has to be taught to do it. When AIR says nobody here can, it means none of the colleagues it can choose from has that training yet.

The same colleagues also read a set in from a document you upload, and examine other colleagues with a set. So the same fix applies to all three.

A spreadsheet needs nobody

If you already have the questions and answers, upload them as a spreadsheet. A spreadsheet is read exactly as written, with no colleague involved. See the columns it needs.

Which training you need

It depends on what is at stake in the set:

The set is The colleague needs Who can be taught it
Practice or play Write quizzes and games Any colleague
Compliance Write assessments Learning or HR colleagues only

A compliance assessment is a record of who passed, so it is a specialist's work. Only a colleague whose area is Learning or HR can be taught to write one.

Teach a colleague

  1. Open the colleague and go to its Work tab.
  2. Choose Teach (its name), then Choose from here.
  3. Find Write quizzes and games or Write assessments, and choose bring in.
  4. Go back to Assessments and try again. The colleague is now listed.

To teach every colleague in a team at once, use Train the team on the team's jobs page.

No Learning or HR colleague

If you need a compliance assessment and have no Learning or HR colleague, you need to recruit one. Alternatively, if the set doesn't need a pass mark or a record of who passed, make it a practice set, which any colleague taught Write quizzes and games can write.

"That colleague's training isn't installed"

The colleague is listed as able to write sets, but AIR couldn't find the training on it when it came to do the work. Teach it again, as above, then try once more.

Why Airica won't do it

Writing a set is a specialist's work, so it is done by a colleague you have taught. Airica doesn't write sets herself.
